At Fayetteville Fury, development is about more than what happens on the field. Our Code of Conduct establishes the standards we expect from players, parents, coaches, staff, and everyone who represents Fury. It is designed to create an environment where players can develop, compete, learn from mistakes, build confidence, and support one another.

What the Code Covers
Respect
Treat players, coaches, parents, officials, opponents, volunteers, and staff with dignity and respect. Differences should never become a reason to criticize, isolate, embarrass, intimidate, or diminish another person.
Player Development & Team Culture
Players develop at different rates. Fury expects teammates to encourage one another, communicate constructively, accept coaching, and understand that mistakes are part of development.
Sportsmanship
Players, coaches, and families should respect teammates, opponents, officials, coaches, spectators, and tournament personnel. Winning should never come at the expense of integrity, respect, or development.
Anti-Bullying
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, deliberate exclusion, repeated belittling, threats, and conduct intended to demean or negatively target another player are inconsistent with Fury values.
Accountability
Accountability means acknowledging mistakes, learning from them, taking appropriate corrective action, and continuing to improve.
Player Safety & Welfare
Players should be able to learn, compete, make mistakes, ask questions, and grow without fear of humiliation, harassment, or intimidation.
Expectations
Players
Give their best effort, listen to coaches, respect teammates, opponents, and officials, communicate positively, accept responsibility, encourage teammates, learn from mistakes, and represent Fayetteville Fury with pride.
Parents & Guardians
Encourage their child without criticizing others, speak respectfully, reinforce sportsmanship and accountability, use appropriate club channels for concerns, respect family privacy, and model appropriate sideline behavior.
Coaches
Create a positive developmental environment, establish and reinforce conduct expectations, correct inappropriate behavior, provide constructive feedback, communicate with parents appropriately, protect confidentiality, and escalate serious or recurring concerns.
Accountability
For most situations involving bullying or repeated inappropriate teammate conduct, Fury uses a progressive response intended to provide an opportunity for education and behavioral correction.
Team reminder and parent communication.
Player and parent conference and one-game suspension.
Potential removal from the roster.
The progressive process does not require every situation to pass through three separate incidents. Serious conduct or a significant concern for another player's safety or well-being may result in immediate suspension or removal from the program when circumstances warrant.
Reporting a Concern
Players and parents are encouraged to raise concerns before situations escalate. Concerns may initially be brought to the player's coach. When a concern involves the coach, cannot reasonably be addressed by the coach, involves serious misconduct, or remains unresolved, it may be elevated to the Coaching Director or appropriate Fury leadership.
Player Welfare
The physical and emotional well-being of our players is a priority. Fayetteville Fury expects adults within the organization to place player welfare ahead of competitive results.
